Dismissing pleas from former President Jimmy Carter, Hamas leaders last week refused to comply with international demands that the terrorist group recognize Israel's right to exist, the Associated Press reported."The visit has not led to a significant change. Ahmed Youssef, Hamas' deputy foreign minister said. The other two international conditions—renouncing violence and accepting previous Israeli-Palestinian agreements—he called 'irrelevant'.
