South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster said Monday that the deal Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) struck with Senate leadership in exchange for his vote on health care reform “represents corruption.” McMaster is one of 10 Republican state attorneys general who are questioning the constitutionality of the Medicaid deal which would exempt Nebraska from paying its share of the program’s expansion in the state — an estimated $100 million cost over the next 10 years.
