Hate Crimes Legislation Draws Criticism from Christian Groups

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday is expected to pass federal hate-crimes legislation, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of federally protected classes.

Thanks to hate-crimes laws in Canada and in the European Union, Christian groups have already become targets for hate-speech prosecution...

[We need repeal all 'hate crime' legislation - the government has no business trying to interpret the intent behind free speech. If your words cause harm, you should (and can be) held accountable, but this special-class 'protection' business is impossible and unAmerican.]
